Tyco Telecommunications, a leading provider of international wholesale capacity, managed services and telecom equipment space on the Tyco Global Network (TGN), today announced a contract with BBC Technology, a commercial subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), for high capacity Trans-Atlantic optical bandwidth.  Under the terms of the contract, Tyco Telecommunications will provide a high capacity, media quality Trans-Atlantic circuit on the Tyco Global Network (TGN) to support BBC Technology’s international broadcast and internet needs. 
Tyco Telecommunications will provide the bandwidth on its TGN Trans-Atlantic cable, connecting 60 Hudson Street in New York City with Telehouse East in London.  The TGN Trans-Atlantic Cable is seamlessly connected to TGN networks in Europe, US and Asia to offer global connectivity, and will provide BBC Technology with a scaleable capacity solution to support its transatlantic traffic needs.
