Agreement Combines Tyco Telecommunications’ Global Strength of TGN with Jupiter Hosting’s Leading Edge Managed Services to Offer Customers Global Hosting SolutionsMORRISTOWN, N.J. - August 16, 2004 --
Tyco Telecommunications, a leading provider of international wholesale capacity and colocation services on the Tyco Global Network (TGN), announced today that it has signed a six year contract for colocation services at the TGN Santa Clara, CA TelExchange Center (TEC) with Jupiter Hosting, a rapidly expanding provider of dedicated and managed hosting services.
Under the terms of the six year lease agreement, Tyco Telecommunications will provide Jupiter Hosting with conditioned colocation space at the TGN Santa Clara TEC to support their portfolio of managed hosting services. Jupiter Hosting plans to expand the use of TGN TEC facilities in New York City, The Netherlands and Tokyo as part of its business expansion plans. Furthermore, the two companies have reached an agreement to jointly market and sell managed hosting services across TGN.
TelExchange Centers (TECs) are Tyco Telecommunications’ state-of-the-art colocation facilities that are strategically located at key telecom and business hubs in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. These facilities provide carrier class colocation with direct access to TGN’s global capacity services. In addition, the Santa Clara TEC provides customers with access to regional carriers and features direct connectivity to PAIX, Equinix and One Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles to directly connect with other telecom carriers and IP providers.
