Tyco Telecommunications launches new Marine Maintenance service for system owners in the Asia Pacific region. Tyco Telecommunications, a leading supplier of marine maintenance services to the global telecommunications industry, today introduced its SEAHORSE Asia Pacific marine maintenance service. At the same time, the company announced the award by Asia Netcom of a long-term maintenance contract for the entire EAC cable system.
Following a comprehensive evaluation, Asia Netcom has awarded Tyco Telecommunications a long-term contract for the marine maintenance of its entire EAC cable system spanning 19,500km. Under the terms of this contract, Tyco Telecommunications will use its new SEAHORSE Asia Pacific service, a two cableship service featuring highly reliable Reliance Class vessels and providing the most modern cableship technology available anywhere in the industry.
By making this significant commitment in one of the most demanding regions for cable maintenance services, Tyco Telecommunications is able to deliver specifically designed marine maintenance services to cable owners in the Asia Pacific region covering the Eastern Pacific from Java and New Guinea to northern Japan. SEAHORSE Asia Pacific is unique in its ability to address the particular demands of the Asia-Pacific region.
